The Students’ Union Government (SUG) Electoral Committee of Mainland Business School (MBS) has announced Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20, 2026, as official dates for the screening of aspirants seeking elective positions in the forthcoming SUG elections.
According to the notice signed by the Secretary of the Committee, Comrade Christiana Nsa, all aspirants are required to appear before the committee by 11:30 a.m. each day for accreditation and verification of credentials.
The committee stated that candidates must present several mandatory documents during the screening exercise. These include a properly calculated Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), the current SUG receipt, student identity card, and a letter of approval from their respective Heads of Department (HODs).
Aspirants are also expected to come with a referee, preferably a staff member of the institution, who would stand in for them in cases of misconduct. In addition, candidates are to pay an accreditation fee of ₦2,000.
The notice further warned that indecent dressing would not be tolerated, while lateness would attract a fine.
The screening exercise is part of preparations for the institution’s 2026/2027 SUG elections.
