Mainland Business School (MBS) in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State held its 1st graduation and 6th matriculation ceremony over the weekend, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey.
The combined ceremony brought together members of the governing council, management staff, academic heads, friends, parents, guardians, graduating students, and newly admitted students.
Addressing the gathering, the Rector of the institution, Dr Ezekiel Anniecan, highlighted its commitment to producing graduates equipped not just for employment, but for enterprise creation and societal impact.
He stressed that its curriculum is designed to nurture innovators, critical thinkers, and solution-driven leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to national development.
Delivering the graduation and matriculation lecture titled “Building Theory and Practice in Entrepreneurship Education as a Catalyst for National Development,” Dr Anthony Ekpo Bassey emphasised the critical role of practical, innovation-driven education in shaping Nigeria’s economic future.
He noted that entrepreneurship education must go beyond theoretical knowledge, urging students to develop real-world problem-solving skills and adaptability.
The high point of the event was the presentation of awards to staff and students.
